FCS Flight Calibration Services GmbH and Colibrex, a subsidiary of LS telcom, will announce the launch of the NavAidDrone at the 2018 World ATM Congress.
This new drone-based system for near-ground RF measurements of navigational aids such as ILS is the result of a multi-year R&D project. It permits ANSPs and Navaids manufacturers to rationalize and extend the scope of ground measurements required both for commissioning and regular checks of ground-based Navaids through programmable flight profiles.
The NavAidDrone unites the FCS flight inspection and receiving and processing expertise of radio signals used in ATC Navigation and Surveillance, and Colibrex’s expertise in the design and international commercial operation of unmanned aircraft systems for radio frequency measurements.
